In this episode hosts Jack Nerad and Chris Teague road test the Kia Stinger and the Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring. The Stinger is the sportiest of the Kia offerings, and Jack drove the highest performance version of the vehicle. It’s equipped with a 365-horsepower 3.3-liter turbocharged V-6 and it features all-wheel-drive.
Chris was behind the wheel of the Honda Civic Hatchback, a car that strikes a winning compromise between performance and practicality. The Civic is one of the most-purchased vehicles in the country, and the AOTR test vehicle was equipped with the 174-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission that prompted some discussion.
In the interview segment, Jack has a lengthy discussion with Jim Owens, Ford Performance Marketing Manager, about the amazingly potent Shelby GT 500. The best performing production Mustang in history, the car will do a sub-11-second quarter-mile at more than 130 mph, and that’s just one of its highlights.
