Some doubted that an electrified Jeep Wrangler could be anything more than a publicity stunt, but Jeep engines have proved them wrong. We just got the chance to tackle some of Texas’s most rugged terrain in the all-new 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, and we can attest to the fact that it is a capable Jeep every sense of that fabled word. “Go anywhere” really means go anywhere in the 2021 Wrangler 4xe. We have an exclusive interview with one of Jeep’s prime movers-and-shakers on the 4xe, Dan Fry. In the road test segment of this edition of America on the Road co-host Chris Teague will tell about his experiences in the 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV, a vehicle that recently gained some fame as the model Tiger Woods recently crashed in Southern California. Teague was on the other side of the country, in Maine, for his test drive of the handsome new model.
Also in the road test segment, Jack Nerad will discuss his recent 400-mile round trip in the 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Nerad was on hand for the launch of the Miata as Editor of Motor Trend in 1989, and he’s been reporting on the car ever since. In his most recent adventure with the vehicle, he tests it on some of California’s most challenging highways.
